Since its creation, its industrial facilities have been located in the northern region of Portugal, in the city of Trofa, dedicated especially to the manufacture of products and technical components in engineering polymers, technologically processed, by injection and bi-injection. In 1990, the company decided to invest in the development of new internal skills and started the activities of conception, design and production of molds for the plastic injection process. In 1997, due to the needs felt, Muroplás moved its facilities to a new location, where it remains until today, significantly increasing the area allocated to its activity, as well as guaranteeing the foreseeable needs for expansion of production facilities. With this change facilities, and increases subsequently made in 2002 and 2015, now has an available area of about 4500m2 for the development of its activity in 2000 was more achieved a step of major importance for the Muroplás, mirroring the its concern with continuous improvement and the quality of its activity, with the implementation of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification. As a result of the evolution of the activity and corresponding to market demands, particularly in the medical-hospital sector, in 2004 the first ISO Class 7 cleanroom was installed. This cleanroom was to be expanded in 2015 to the configuration it assumes today. This evolution in its production capacities allowed, in 2011, the edition of the catalog for medical devices. This step was the confirmation of Muroplás as an important international supplier in this highly specific and technically demanding sector.
