ACME Consulting was established at Chennai in February 1996, by the late Mr. P. Siva Sankaran and Mr. B.G.Menon, experienced management professionals, to provide advisory services to service organisations in the area of quality improvement. In 1997 ACME entered into a technical collaboration with Thomsun Consulting, a global healthcare consulting major, to provide certification based quality management consulting services specifically to the Indian Healthcare Sector, the first such initiative in the country. In 1998, ACME assisted the first Hospital in the country to get the ISO 9001 Quality Certification, the Mallya Hospital at Bangalore. Subsequently over the next 10 years, ACME assisted over 100 Hospitals in the Private Sector to go in for Quality Improvements leading to the ISO 9001 Certification.
